Would you drop over £20k on this Mk4 Supra and its Abflug widebody kit?
This 76,000-mile bodykitted A80 is giving us massive Nineties nostalgia
Still angry at Toyota for getting into bed with BMW to build the Mk5 Supra? This glorious A80 with a rare widebody kit from Japanese tuner Abflug might be more up your street. Assuming your street is stuck in the 1990s.
It’s set to cross the block at Iconic Auctioneers’ Classic Sale at the Warwickshire Event Centre on 7 December. Anyone else got a sudden desire to play Gran Turismo 2?
The guide price on this modified Mk4 does seem fairly punchy at between £20,000 and £25,000, but then again it does feature a 3.0-litre twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE straight-six that has been breathed on to produce around 400bhp. Unfortunately, it also features the four-speed auto gearbox. There’s the obligatory nitrous bottle in the boot, although it’s unclear whether it’s actually connected to anything.
Oh, and we must talk about that steering wheel. The Abflug widebody kit and giant GReddy exhaust are both of their time and kinda suit the A80 in a strange, morbid sort of way, but that white leather Simoni Racing wheel can get in the bin immediately.
Anyway, this particular supra has 76,000 miles on the clock and was originally a JDM car first registered in 1993. It was imported into the UK in 2004 (presumably complete with its bodykit) and has been with its current owner since 2020. Anyone got £20k going spare?
