Yeesh, this Integra Type R just sold for over $200,000
US-spec Acura with 4,800 miles on the clock sells for huge money on Bring a Trailer
Well, this is faintly terrifying. This Acura Integra Type R just sold on US Auction site Bring a Trailer for $204,204. And no, we didn’t just accidentally copy the price twice. The hammer really did fall with the bidding at well over $200,000. Yikes.
Yep, old DC2 Integra Type Rs now command the same type of money as new Porsche 911 GT3s.
Well, they do if they’re in near-mint condition with only 4,800 miles on the clock, at least. This particular car is a 2001 example from the final year of production in the US. It’s wearing Phoenix Yellow paint and gets a virtually untouched black cloth interior. Just look at those pictures. And look at that engine bay!
This is apparently number 1,086 of 1,173 examples built for the US market for the 2001 model year, and it has only had two owners since new. In fact, the seller bought it from the original owner back in March 2014 and has only covered 500 miles in it since then. Still, we reckon the profit they’ve just made more than makes up for the fact that they missed out on daily driving an all-time great.
