A small selection from the TG inbox

  1. Gearbox manufacturer Pfitzner Performance got in touch to tell us that cars fitted with their ‘boxes dominated in last weekend’s Transchaco Rally in Paraguay. Which we’d never actually heard of… Clearly, more investigations are required.

  2. Audi’s sent us some smoke, which it hopes we’ll blow up its exhaust pipe - it’s just sold 25,289 cars this September. A new record. Here’s an old 225 Roadster to celebrate.

  3. Is your fortune embarrassing to contemplate and impossible to spend? And do you have terrible, terrible taste? Buy this bed from Bentley. The manufacturer emailed in to let us know that the “shapes are soft and convoluted, working in harmony with the contemporary and informal line.” Mmmm, convoluted shapes.

  4. We’ve gone and done it again. Emailing ourselves about stuff we’re doing. Top Gear Live has added a fourth performance at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow. Tickets start from £49 and they’re available here. Thanks, er, us.

  5. Dear TG,

I have bought the car from your article… I imported it from Holland in September 2012, now I’m registering it as an historic vehicle in the Czech Republic.

It’s almost all original including the paint and wheels. It has a few small Ferrari problems, but it’s the best example I’ve seen (I viewed see six other 400i models for sale before I bought this one).

    Milan Vitek, PhD.

Thanks for getting in touch, Dr. Vitek. You know you can turn to for the frosty peak of consumer advice.

  6. We’re not quite sure what moved Rockingham circuit to get in touch to tell us that seven historic cars had a few dry runs in preparation for last month’s Goodwood Revival. But they sent this picture so we’ll forgive them.

  7. Aston’s just dropped us a line to tell us about its recent victory in the SP10 category at the Nurburgring. The company’s #186 V8 Vantage won by just 0.5 seconds in a four-hour race.

  8. McLaren’s a bit forgetful. It got in touch to reveal more details about the 12C GT3 on the same day we were at Snetterton driving it…

  9. Nismo’s been taking a leaf out of the Top Gear handbook and raced a 370 Z against a wingsuit athlete. It dropped us the link to the video on YouTube. Click here to watch.

  10. A man called Speedycop sent us this video of his upside down 1999 Chevy Camaro racecar. We’re confused. And amused. But mostly confused.
