This is a life-sized toy box for your Bugatti

With LED lighting and carbon fibre frames, this ain’t yer average Matchbox, er, box

Published: 16 Dec 2024

Believe in keeping your toys in their box? Here’s a life-sized take. Unquestionably an aluminium box with some lights, the ‘Edition FR-01’ is a collaborative project between Bugatti and German storage solution brand, Fahrengold.

OK, in fairness it’s a bit more than that. It’s a box which can be tailored to match a car’s specific finish and includes carbon fibre frames and a tyre protection pad. And no, we’re not sure why tyres need protecting if the car isn’t being moved.

Anyway, the garage itself incorporates security systems and temperature and moisture regulation, but best of all, it makes for a ‘gallery-like setting’. The example provided includes custom glass accents and blue leather cupboards, in case you need some inspo.

Another notable feature is the ‘CarPad’ stage where the vehicle sits and can be raised to showcase its design more clearly. If you want the LED lighting and illuminated logos, you'll need to select the CarPad 'Pro' option at checkout.

Each box takes between eight and 12 weeks to create, with around 30 minutes of assembly time once it arrives. No word on pricing, but they do say things kept in boxes are worth a lot more in the future… so that’s worth remembering for Tourbillon owners.
