Get under the skin of Aston's mad twelve-pot plaything

6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine

The Valkyrie's engine is mounted so low, that even at the top of its throw, the piston is lower than the driver's hip height. In the AMG One, noise levels peaked at 119dB. The Aston reached 137dB. It is possibly the nosiest road car there's ever been.

No reverse gear in the Valkyrie gearbox, it uses the electric motor to spin first backwards.
No Nürburgring lap time... yet

Unlike the AMG One (6:29.4), Valkyrie has yet to visit the Nürburgring. However, it is the fastest ever production car around the Top Gear test track, it's 1:09.7 lap time more than a second faster than the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack.
Air exits the exhaust at 700°C. There's a heat shield to stop the numberplate melting, plus the superheated air blows under the rear wing to meet air exiting the diffuser, enhancing the aero.

AMG boasts the One's nose badge is 16 layers of paint thick, yet it looks like one of those airbrushed artworks you get on the side of truck cabs. Aston's is aluminium, 70 microns thick (30 per cent thinner than a human hair) and weighs just 0.4 grams.
