Mercedes-AMG One: all the stats and facts on the V6 F1 car for the road
Sir Lewis Hamilton helped develop the AMG One that features his the engine from his old F1 car...

1.6-litre turbo hybrid V6 engine

One's engine code is PU106B, PU meaning power unit. Its single turbo has intake and exhaust tracts split on either side of the engine for improved cooling and efficiency. In the F1 car, it idled at 5,000rpm, revved to 15,000 and made around 870bhp. In road spec it idles at 1,280rpm and revs to 11,000 and alone makes 533bhp - BMW M3 territory.
The running costs will be astronomical. Merc says a full rebuild - depending on use - will be needed every 31,000 miles. That will cost £850,000.

In race+ the suspension drops 30mm at the rear, 37mm at the front, giving the One a nose down stance. Ceramic wheel bearings mean less friction.
7spd single clutch gearbox

To achieve high engine speeds, the One's mechanical valve springs have been replaced by pneumatics. It has twin injectors per cylinder. The 8.4kWh battery yields an 11.2 mile range.
No twin clutch gearboxes here, both this and the Valkyrie use lighter single clutch 7spd automated manuals, Valkyrie's from Ricaro, AMG's from Xtrac.

AMG uses a triple outlet exhaust inspired by F1, obviously. The smaller ones are outlets from the MGU-H, which harvests heat energy for electrical boost.
