Freddie Flintoff is recovering in hospital after an accident at the Top Gear test track

Flintoff’s injuries not ‘life-threatening’, BBC says

Freddie Flintoff is recovering in hospital following an accident at the Top Gear test track.

The Top Gear presenter and former cricketer was filming for TGTV at Dunsfold on Tuesday at the time of the accident.

TopGear.com understands all health and safety precautions were in place, the accident didn’t happen at high speed and that Flintoff’s injuries aren’t life-threatening.

"Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track yesterday morning, with crew medics attending the scene immediately,” a BBC spokesperson said.

“He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course."
