10 luxury cars with great interiors for under £15,000 we found this week
Our latest used car roundup includes sporty wagons, decked out classics and even a Bond car. Wait, what?
Toyota Crown (S210)
Behind the mean face, lighting bolt grille and roguish silhouette, the 59,000th generation of the Toyota Crown is a big softie in truth. The tech alone is impressive, but what the Crown has in abundance is space and comfort. You’ll get a heated steering wheel to, er, heat your hands, and would you look at that crimson upholstery.

There’s something deeply satisfying about a beige interior with acres of wood veneer inside, as is the case with this Bentley Arnage R. Factor in the memory foam seats and the blue footwell trim to match the exterior, and it’s a truly joyous place to sit and ponder. Or occasionally drive.
Audi RS6 Avant (C6)
Though this V10-powered RS6 Avant may not have quite the same level of opulence as the Arnage, it’s packed with tech to improve your mile-munching. Key features include acoustic parking sensors (er, so it beeps?), Bluetooth connectivity and (likely) a strong audio system, as is customary with big Audis. In many ways, its interior isn’t actually that far from a modern RS6.

Used ‘Autobiography’ trim Rangies often look and feel far more expensive than they actually are - you can thank their incredible depreciation rates for that. This one’s about as spacious as most cathedrals and, though the black and cream upholstery is a bit marmite, will you really care when you’ve got suede roof lining and a fridge? No, we thought not.
Daimler Double-Six
Sticking (loosely) with the JLR theme, here’s a 32-year-old Daimler Double-Six. It sports a rare cabin combination of grey upholstery and dark brown wood, and we reckon you’d want to spend more time sitting in it than you would your own living room. All that’s missing is a large flat screen TV, really.
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II
There’s a reason Silver Shadows make great wedding cars: they swallow up potholes and swaddle you in olde-world luxury. Safe to say it's a relaxed bit of engineering, then.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W221)
Anyone care to take a sensible guess for how many big Noughties Mercs are roaming the used car wilderness at present? This S600L is one of them, and would you just look at the amount of car you’re getting for 10 grand. From massage seats and TV screens to a soothing V12 to power it along, forget not needing a living room, this might even nullify the need for a house.

The Porsche Cayenne’s exterior has divided opinion since the days of King Leonidas, but one thing that’s not up for debate is the quality of each generation’s interior. Here’s an ideal example, with more buttons and controls than you’d expect to see in the cabin of the Millennium Falcon.
Alpina B10
Our penultimate showing is a tasty E39 Alpina B10. Creep inside and you’ll unearth a gorgeous grey upholstery and wood cabin that’s not too dissimilar to the Daimler. But while the Jag spin-off feels as old as the Egyptian Pyramids, the Alpina gets plenty of tech and buttons to tailor your experience. There’s also a lot of Alpina badging, and as you know, each one increases a driver’s cool rating by 10 points.

We reported earlier this week that one of the Aston Martin Vanquishes from Die Another Day is going under the hammer. But while that example is lacking any of 007’s gadgetry, this one isn’t, because it’s the actual press car used to promote the movie. Don't chase your dreams, live them! Yeah, we'll see ourselves out.
