Thrills without the bills: the TVR Tuscan
Like a Mercedes-AMG GT... but cheaper. Sort of
What is it?
A twin-seat GT; raw, fast reacting and slightly scary. Much like a Mercedes-AMG GT. One is made in Blackpool, UK, the other Affalterbach, Germany.
Why are we interested?
Because although TVRs aren’t easy to find, they’re the progenitors of cars like the AMG GT. Long nose, front engined, rear wheel drive.

So... it’s the same but not?
The Tuscan came with different outputs (1, 2 and S); you want a 360bhp Speed Six. You can only have a 4.0 V8 AMG GT.
What should I buy?
The new MercGT starts at £100k, but you can get a secondhand Merc GT gen 1 from £40k. A Tuscan can be had for well under that secondhand price.
