Here’s an in-depth look at Bentley’s first ever EV

This is the new Bentley Torcal, and “Torc” (torque, geddit?) is very much the operative word. It’s got 996lb ft of the stuff - that’s more than any Bentley ever. Likewise, its 875bhp exceeds any flying B before it. 

It also introduces a new take on Bentley’s design language inside and out, and is even offered with special new upholstery options including a merino wool. All of which is intended to distract you from the fact that it has no engine. Bentley has very much taken what we’re coining the “Anti-Luce” approach with its first EV, designing for minimal controversy in the hopes that the Torcal will slot seamlessly and quietly into its existing lineup.
