Buying
What should I be paying?
Forgive us if this section is a little shorter than usual. In the UK, the Cullinan costs £298,800, but that’s just the start. If you have to ask etc. And even if you don’t have to ask, you might still have to dig deeper than you thought. The Black Badge doesn’t do much to justify the uplift to £342,600, but then it doesn’t need to. It’s the more expensive of the pair, and therefore the one that everyone wants.
What’s interesting is how the Cullinan is holding its value. Even five years on from its launch, you are hard pushed to find an early one for under £220,000, with most asking at least £250,000. Bentaygas of a similar vintage can be picked up for £85,000. But then they were half the money to begin with.
A combined 18.8mpg and 341g/km CO2 (go for the Black Badge and those figures are 17.3 and 370g/km) are incidentals in this stratospheric realm. Of more issue is the fact that, at an average of 15.4 mpg that we achieved, you’ll be looking to top up the 100-litre tank after little more than 250 miles.
