Buick Enclave (US) review

Buick gets the interior of the Enclave exactly right with enough elegance and utility to make it a daily driver with a little extra class. It’s contemporary with what can be seen across the segment, with a seamless single-screen digital display, a minimal set of physical inputs, and an otherwise clean cabin.

How about the back?

With three rows, the Enclave should have most of your people-moving needs covered. Needless to say, this isn’t the Escalade, so the Enclave’s third row isn’t winning any awards: there’s just enough for a full-sized adult back there and that’s about it. Points for being competent in a notoriously miserable space, we guess.

Naturally, the second row’s much more accommodating, as you’d expect. When it comes to cargo, there’s 22.9 cu ft (648 liters) behind the third row, which opens up to 57.1 cu ft (1,617 liters) with said row folded, and up to 97.5 cu ft (2,761) will all rear passenger seats tucked away.

How’s the tech?

Buick’s given the Enclave loads of gizmos for the sake of convenience as well as safety. Lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition are just some of the standard safety features. OnStar’s essentials package throws in more stuff like automatic crash response in the event of an incident.

On a lighter note, there are cool things too, like the aforementioned Super Cruise, wireless charging pads, the spiffy 30-inch ultra-wide display, and a Bose sound system.
