Citroen C5 and C6 news - Twin studies

It's a diesel double whammy over at Citroen with the introduction of a twin-turbo engine to the C5 and C6 ranges.

The 2.2-litre unit has 173bhp and 295lb ft of torque, which helps the C5 manage 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds, top out at 138mph and return 39mpg.

Performance is slightly behind in the heftier C6, but it gives an improved economy of 43mpg.

Both the C5 and C6 use a six-speed manual gearbox.

Prices for the C5 2.2 HDi start at £18,840, and the C6 2.2 HDi kicks off at £28,045.
