Limited edition GT86 comes to Britain

Published: 29 Jun 2012

Yes, Toyota's confirmed that it'll be flogging its Racing Department's GT86 in Britain at this year's slightly moist Goodwood Festival of Speed. AIRPUNCH.

When the TRD Hachi-Roku (Eight-Six in Japanese, language fans) was first revealed at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, it was touted as a home-market-only affair, but the manufacturer's confirmed that it'll be floating some cars over to Blighty.

The car shown at Goodwood's got a full aero body kit with a front chinstrap, side skirts, boot spoiler and a rear apron incorporating a diffuser and a new set of twin exhausts. Woof.

There's a also a set of 18-inch black alloys with teeny tiny low-profile tyres, upgraded suspension and portlier brakes.

Sadly, though, the 2.0-litre flat-four 197bhp engine isn't touched. Not that that stops the GT86 being a very fine car indeed...

Any TopGear.commers fancy one?
