The Fisker Ocean Force E will be a 550bhp electric off-road SUV

Fancy dampers, massive tyres and lots of ground clearance for Fisker’s next e-SUV

Published: 09 May 2023

Fresh from delivering its very first Ocean electric SUV, Fisker has revealed details of a spin-off version that’s been designed to very much not spin you off. This is your first look at the Fisker Ocean Force E.

Named like a second-rate comic book superhero team, the Force E intends to offer customers the ability to traverse all manner of terrain silently, electrically, and really very quickly. Indeed Fisker is planning on offering around 550bhp for the Ocean Force E – around what you get from the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Ocean ‘Extreme’ SUV.

That power will be matched to a series of tweaks straight from the Beginner’s Guide To Off Roading: fancy dampers and huge amounts of ground clearance, 33-inch all-terrain tyres wrapped around 20-inch reinforced wheels, a full-length titanium underbody plate, and skid plates front and back that are fixed to the car’s structure.

There’ll be the option of rubber floor coverings for washing out mud and detritus, extra grab handles for your hands to grab, and tie-downs for tying more stuff down. A lightweight roof basket will also be another option.

“This vehicle is going to be a beast,” said Henrik Fisker. We have pulled out all the stops on this one. I think it’s exciting to enter the segment. And for those who love to go offroad and enjoy nature, what better way than with zero emissions?”

It’ll be built in England “under the supervision” of David King at Fisker’s ‘Magic Works’ speciality division.
