The new Mercedes EQE 350+ now gets a claimed 429 miles of range
Electric saloon gets more range, but there's a 500 version available if you want power
Mercedes has refreshed a swathe of models, most notably the EQE saloon, which now gets a new 350+ trim offering up a claimed 429 miles of range. That's up 49 miles on the old EQE 300. The single-motor, 2WD powertrain now packs a slightly bigger battery of 96kWh, up from 90kWh.
And those additional six electric battery horsies mean the 350+ can sprint to 62mph nearly a second faster than the old 300, hitting the benchmark in 6.5s.
Want more speed? There’s now a more powerful, four-wheel-drive version of the EQE, dubbed the 500. That car gets a 91kWh battery powering a dual-motor set-up producing a combined 402bhp. That helps shift the luxury EV from 0-62mph in under five seconds.
Want more.. bigness? The EQE SUV’s been given similar improvements, seeing the overall range increase by 43 miles to a headline 376.
Both variants of the model now have choices of AMG Line Night Edition specs, with bigger wheels, glossier and chromier exterior styling and sportier styling inside the cabin, including brushed aluminium pedals.
The cabin can also be upgraded to Merc’s Luxury Interior Package, cladding the now-heated rear seats in fancier quilted cowhide and adding heat to the steering wheel and windscreen, too. The MBUX Hyperscreen also makes an appearance in the higher trim models as standard. Prices for the updated EQE start at £69,105 for the saloon and £74,495 for the SUV.

Elsewhere, the two-door, four-seater coupe which is the CLE 300e is now available as a plug-in hybrid, while the E-Class and GLE models get diesel-hybrid variants giving almost 70 miles of pure electric motoring.
Mercedes Benz tells us it’s also introduced ‘Urban Editions’ for the C- and E-Classes (and their respective electric models). Only available with a hybrid powertrain, that integrates the Night Package, AMG-inspired styling and privacy glass. How very, er, urban.
