Wow, the new Nissan Juke looks… interesting
New third-generation Juke is 100 per cent electric. Styling is 100 per cent bonkers
Ever think that Nissan played it a bit safe with its second-generation Juke back in 2019? Well, there’s absolutely no danger of that criticism being levelled at the new third-gen, because… just look at it.
Nissan describes this as a “bold evolution” of its little crossover. We’d describe it as looking like a sly but slightly overweight frog. Particularly in this exceedingly bold launch colour. It’ll certainly split opinion when it hits European roads in Spring 2027 though, and that’s always been the point of the Juke, no?
Strangely though, this new Juke is going all-electric, just after Nissan morphed the Leaf into a similarly sized EV crossover on the very same platform. No word on any powertrain or battery details for the Juke yet, but surely it won’t be too dissimilar from the 52kWh/75kWh options in the Leaf. Both are built in Sunderland.
Nissan also says the Juke “carries personality and emotion into the EV era” and that it’ll offer V2G tech much like the Leaf. However, for those not ready for a full EV, the current Juke hybrid will also be updated to look a little bit like this controversial newbie.
Whaddya make of those looks?
