Where’s your imagination, Britain? Think of all the lovely old Defenders and TVRs and Jags and Alfas just sitting there waiting to be snapped up and have your entire life savings poured into? Anyway. What was interesting is that the SMMT also revealed the UK’s favourite used car colours.

As referenced by this rather yellow and really rare Ferrari Sergio. Look, it’s more interesting than an Audi A3, anyway.
9. Orange - 12,248
Yay for orange! This colour, interestingly, “showed the strongest growth” over the last three months, with sales of orange coloured cars up 9.9 per cent.

Come on Britain, beige? Really? Why not look at this picture of a Chiron instead.
7. Green - 51,624
Interestingly, this was the most popular used car colour in 1996. Maybe don’t repeat that sentence to any of your friends, mind. Show them this Porsche 911 GT3 RS instead.
6. Red - 211,677
Ah, rosso you say?
5. White - 240,268
Ah, white, every muddy pond’s trusted ally.

We once spent an unnecessary amount of time detailing fifty shades of this particular colour. The reason escapes us. Here’s one of them.
3. Blue - 362,096
The Focus was the UK's second best selling used car over the last three months. Here's a blue Focus. RS.

Evidenced by a Mercedes-AMG E63 S doing excellent, silly things.
1. Black - 431,000
We suspect the UK’s used car market doesn’t offer many Batmobiles up for sale. But anyway, here’s a Batmobile.
