Manhart has given the Ford Bronco 415bhp and giant wheels
Looks like the German tuner is making good use of the Bronco being sold in Germany
In July last year, Ford announced that the Bronco would finally arrive in Europe in late 2023, but that it would be in limited numbers and only sold in “selected left-hand drive European markets”. One of those markets is Germany, and resident tuner Manhart has wasted no time in getting its hands on the retrotastic SUV.
Germany won’t be getting the Bronco Raptor with its 400bhp+ 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6, so Manhart has taken it upon itself to boost the smaller 2.7-litre V6 up to 415bhp and 502lb ft of torque. That bump is courtesy of an intercooler upgrade, new cold air intakes, a new sports exhaust system and a new ECU.
The newly christened Manhart BC 400 also gets huge 22-inch wheels wrapped in Renegade R7 off-road tyres, plus a Brembo brake system on the front axle to improve the Bronco’s stopping power.
This particular car is based on the Bronco Badlands but has had its extended wheelarches painted in the new body colour of Sun Yellow, and the interior has been retrimmed in black and yellow with Alcantara on the dashboard and steering wheel.
Manhart says the BC 400 will be limited to just ten units, or alternatively you can buy some of the bits separately and build your own modified Bronco. Those wheels will set you back €9,350, the side steps are €5,534, the ECU for the power upgrade is €3,515 and the exhaust system is well over €10k. This could get expensive.
