Brace! The new Ford Bronco is finally coming to Europe
…but only in left-hand drive markets and in limited numbers. Boooo
Big news! The new full-fat Ford Bronco is finally coming to Europe in late 2023. Hurrah! Although if you’re in the UK as we are, hold off from calling your local dealer for just a second. Ford has said that its reborn 4x4 will only be available in ‘strictly limited numbers’ in ‘selected left-hand drive European markets’. D'oh!
We rather like the new Jeep Wrangler-rivalling Bronco. Heck, we even gave it a 9/10 review having driven it both in the US and – as a Clive Sutton import – in the UK.
With its endless customisation options and properly rugged looks we reckon it’d be a roaring success on these shores. Oh, and in the US prices start at just $30,800 for a three-door and $34,700 for the four-door.
It’s the latter that’ll be coming to Europe, and Ford hasn’t announced how much each one will cost or exactly how many will make the trip across the North Atlantic. Expect there to be a bit of a tussle to get hold of one, though.
“The absence of significant volume” is apparently the reason why right-hand drive markets like Australia and the UK are still excluded from the party, but Ford has said that it will “continue to evaluate the opportunity in the future”.
Make a big enough song and dance about it and it might just happen then. Come on Internet, you know what to do…
