Montecarlo Auto launches Rascasse

No, this isn't a GCSE woodwork class's attempt at an Enzo convertible. This is the latest offering from that most famous of car brands, Montecarlo Automobile. This is the £425,000, 500bhp Rascasse supercar.

Named after the Monaco GP circuit's famous corner, it wrings power from a Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph-sourced 5.4-litre V12 mounted amidship. Yep, the same Silver Seraph that went out of production in 2002. But hey, it's not like engines have moved forward over the last decade, is it?

Wondering where all your money's going? It's, um, been converted to run on LPG. And you get a wooden interior that looks like it's been lifted straight out of a Riva Aquamarine. Oh, we almost forgot - the Rascasse gets a removable roof. And a clock mounted in the steering wheel.

Only 15 will be built. But don't worry if you miss out (no, really, don't worry), for Montecarlo Automobile plans to build a more powerful version that'll employ hybrid, supercharger and four-wheel drive technology. Presumably ten years after everyone else has stopped using it.
