This is Novitec Rosso's Ferrari 812 'N-Largo'
Widebody 812 gets more power, more size
Ferrari isn’t giving up on naturally-aspirated, V12 power. Not yet, anyway. The world may be changing, but you can still buy an 812 Superfast, and will be able to for some time yet. And happily there are still companies that exist to make them faster and more outrageous-looking than Ferrari ever intended. Companies like Novitec Rosso.
The most obvious difference between its ‘N-Largo’ and a standard 812 is the bodykit, which is “inspired by current Formula One race cars” and adds some 14cm to the car’s overall width at the rear axle. This makes it only slightly narrower than a Ford Raptor, which is famous for a) being excellent but also b) not fitting in most European countries.
Wider front and rear fenders give space for big wheels. Here by American company Vossen, they’re 22-inches and 335-section on the rear, and 21-inches and 275-section on the front. Meanwhile bare carbon front and rear lips and spoilers are claimed to improve airflow, adding downforce and making the handling more stable. Inside you can have anything you like. We’d advise against the purple.
Under the skin, you get special springs that drop the ride height by 35mm, a lightweight, no doubt incredibly loud exhaust and, happily, a little bit more power. Novitec’s ECU tune has liberated an extra 40bhp from the 6.5-litre V12, taking it to 829bhp at 7,300rpm. 0-62mph takes 2.8 seconds, while the top speed is up to 214mph.
Do you like the look of Novitec’s 812? Comment away.
