Gallery: drool over these classic and modern BMW race cars
BMW America showcases a host of classic racing machines. Here’s a taster…
No doubt buoyed by the success of Avengers: Infinity War, BMW America is assembling its very own dream team of superheroes. And while these heroes can’t deliver witty one liners in the heat of battle, nor deliver lightning from the sky or even climb up walls, they can smash.
Yep, this week in Washington, there are 17 of BMW’s most iconic racing cars, collated via private collectors and the BMW USA Classic Collection, at the ACM (America’s Car Museum) for a special exhibit titled Heroes of Bavaria.
They are there to “chronicle the celebrate BMW’s storied motorsports legacy”. Indeed, eight racers came via BMW’s very own selection of classics.
“Who doesn’t love historic race cars?” asks BMW’s car club executive director Scott Dishman. “ACM’s debut of Heroes now brings the excitement to the west coast.”
Have a flick through the gallery for a taster. Yeah, it's definitely the Avengers thing.
