From widebody heroes to proper limos – is this the greatest collection of Mercedes' ever sent to auction?

Here’s a fun game: if you had to pick a three-car garage from this mega collection of Mercedes youngtimers, which cars would you go for?

Before you get stuck into the comments down below though, you should probably know that all 40 of these cars are actually heading up for auction next month, so if you’re blessed with a little bit of spare cash, you could actually follow through on your selections. Uh oh.

Highlights for us include the supremely wacky silver 190E with a Schulz-Getzke widebody kit and SEC style nose (estimate £33,500 - £40,900), the three actual SECs with ABC-Exclusive widebodies (one of which is a 560 with the larger 5.5-litre V8 and an estimate of £40,900 - £44,600), and the 450 SLC with a relatively restrained Koenig-Specials kit and gold BBS wheels (estimate £33,500 - £40,900).

Away from the wideboys, there’s also a whole load of brilliant Brabus creations, a sneaky Maybach, many pre-merger AMGs including a 1993 500E AMG with a 6.0-litre V8 (estimate £112,000 - £134,000), and a few rapid wagons. Heck, there’s even a right-hand drive W210 E-Class limo with eight seats if you’re looking to get into the funeral business or are single-handedly trying to drive up the birth rate.

All the cars are from the renowned Patina Collective in Florida and will be listed on Broad Arrow Auctions’ Global Icons Online Auction Series that’ll run from 10-21 August. Oh, and all will be offered without reserve, so there could even be a bargain or two available.

That alarmingly red W211 E55 AMG has an estimate of just £6,000 - £8,900 for example, though it is fitted with some terrible S-Class wheels and has 177,693 miles on the clock. Then again, it also has a 5.5-litre supercharged V8.

Have a look at all of the lots by clicking these blue words, then remember to head back here to tell us which three cars you’d be taking home…
