Gallery: here’s 4,734bhp of Bugatti Bolide sliding around on ice
Bugatti rocked up to The ICE St. Moritz with three Bolides, and their owners got to have some serious fun
Well, consider us extremely jealous indeed. Although come to think of it, we were already really rather envious of Bugatti Bolide owners before their latest escapade.
This is particularly cool though, because it involves three Bolides sliding around together at The ICE St. Moritz last weekend. That’s 48 cylinders and 4,734bhp of track-only hypercar… on ice.
“Three unique examples and their owners gracing the pristine ice, they pushed the boundaries of possibility, mastering mechanical performance amidst the challenge of ice and snow in an unprecedented, singularly Bugatti experience,” says a very arty press release. Just looks like a whole load of slidey fun to us.
Bugatti also brought along three Veyron Grand Sport Vitesses to The ICE, which describes itself as “the coolest (and coldest) concours in the world”. The ‘Soleil de Nuit’, ‘Rembrandt Bugatti’ and ‘Meo Costantini’ special editions were all on display, with Brit firm Hedley Studios unveiling a tribute to the latter with its 75 per cent scale Type 35 in the same chromed finish.
A Type 13, Type 35 and Type 37A also competed in the ‘Open Wheels’ class of the concours, while an EB110 featured in the ‘Birth of the Hypercar’ category and also enjoyed some sideways action.
