Here's the response to online reports about the return of Top Gear TV
BBC Studios has responded to online reports about a potential return of Top Gear TV. And this is where it all gets a bit into the Spider-verse.
Speaking to TopGear.com, about Top Gear TV, a BBC Studios spokesperson – speaking on behalf of the company that traditionally makes Top Gear TV – said: “The Top Gear brand continues to thrive across digital, publishing and global formats.”
That’ll be the award-winning TopGear.com website that you’re on right now, the award-winning Top Gear magazine that’s been running since 1993 and is sitting dog-eared in workshops and doctors’ surgeries up and down the country, and of course, Top Gear’s award-winning online video content.
“As a commercial producer,” the BBC Studios spokesperson added about Top Gear, “we’re always exploring new ways to develop the brand and reach audiences by leveraging such iconic IP.
“But there’s no update on the TV show at this time.”
