Plenty of Porsche 911s have been reimagined by Singer, but its latest offering – the DLS Turbo – might well be its masterpiece. For the 99 clients who’ll commission Singer’s DLS Turbo services, the restoration will include a 710bhp twin-turbo flat-six that revs to 9,000rpm, but even that’s overshadowed by the outrageous carbon fibre bodywork, inspired by the rare 934/5 endurance racer from the late 1970s.

In this world-exclusive review, Ollie Marriage drives it on the road and – with its giant wing firmly fitted – on track, but can a Porsche 911 reimagined through Singer’s DLS Turbo services possibly live up to its near-$3m price tag?
