Aston Martin news - Not a real Aston? Oh Phuket - 2010
Have a look at these photos. They were taken in Thailand, where shoddy biological transformations occur daily. And today is no different. Because under that Aston Martin bodywork lies.... an Opel Calibra.
We reckon it's rather convincing. Of course, a grope around would reveal naff
suspension and we strongly suspect the engine does not have 12 cylinders. It's
not quite long enough, and they appear to have forgotten all about the interior and the Emotional Control Unit. But it's good enough to fool an untrained (and
probably unwitting) eye.
Apparently the Calibra has been used for this sort of thing before. Rumours
suggest there's a 911 Turbo version out there somewhere, so if you've just
bought a quick Porsche, have a good look through the paperwork. All may not be
what it seems.
