It’s over two years since Audi pulled the covers off its e-tron GT concept car. But – hurrah! – the wait for the production version is very nearly over. It is mere weeks away.
In the meantime, the prototype has been out and about for some last-minute fine-tuning. Or so the engineers likely said to justify taking the all-electric saloon – Audi’s Taycan, if you will – out for some frolics in the snow.
“Winter weather is a tough but important test for the quattro all-wheel drive,” they presumably sniggered on their way out the door, knowing that it would also provide some quite hilarious skids once they were out of eyeshot of the boss’s office.
So, while we await the final version of Audi’s probably quite slinky looking e-tron GT, here’s what a test mule with day-glo highlighting looks like when given an angry dose of throttle on powdery snow.
