Pininfarina’s mad butterfly-doored hybrid is coming
Shady teaser image reveals a four-seat, two-door Gran Turismo concept
Of late, the motoring world’s ever-shifting landscape makes it difficult to align what you want, from what you should want. Step forward Pininfarina, who is cooking up a four-seat, butterfly-doored hybrid ‘HK GT’ concept for Geneva.
Modern electric drivetrain from a Chinese start-up? Check. Classic, Italian Gran Turismo design flourishes? Check. Mad, motor-show friendly door arrangement? Yeah, double check.
This latest teaser fully profiles Pininfarina and the Hong Kong-based Hybrid Kinetic Group’s partnership. It is a four-seat hybrid, featuring a battery, some electric motors, an electrical controller and a range extender. No word on what form said range extender will take, mind.
In fact, there’s not much information outside of what we just mentioned. But we do know it’ll be fully revealed on 6 March. At which point, we can furnish you with more pics and details on this mad concept. In the meantime, head this way for details on Pininfarina and the HK Group's previous outing together, in the shape of the H600: a suicide-doored hybrid saloon.
