This is the facelifted Honda Civic and it’s time for a tough game of spot the difference

Honda very lightly updates its hybrid hatch. Is on sale now for just under £34k

Right, it’s time to test your memory of fairly run-of-the-mill hybrid hatchbacks, because Honda has given the Civic a very light facelift.

So, before you click these words to remind yourself of the pre-facelift car, just have a look to see if you can spot any obvious differences above.

Fog lights, anyone? Yep, they’ve now gone thanks to ‘improved LED headlight technology’ and there’s a new front bumper too that’s slightly sharper and gets a new body colour splitter section. There’s also a new grille, apparently.

Honda says that the Civic has been 'refined in response to customer feedback' and that there are now new 18in diamond-cut alloy wheels that 'add a further dynamic edge'. Right.

Seabed Blue is a new paint option and replaces the previous Premium Crystal Blue, while new ‘accessory accent colours’ include Berlina Black, Nordic Silver and Patina Bronze.

Inside, there’s a new black roof lining for “a more premium feel” and there’s matte chrome around the air vents for “a subtle touch of sophistication”. Yeah, they really haven’t changed that much. That’s fine by us though, because the current Civic eHEV is an excellent hybrid hatch.

Orders for the refreshed version are already open, with prices starting at £33,795.
