The new Dacia Jogger will start from £18,995... just £25 more than the old one
Fresh design, technology upgrades and a new powertrain… and all for a few quid more
Dacia has announced UK pricing and specification for its new Jogger, and the biggest news of all is that it’ll start from £18,995 – an increase of just twenty-five pounds over the outgoing model. That’s less than a round of drinks down the local these days.
The Jogger is already a Good Car, so one would expect that this mild facelift shall make it… a Very Good Car. You’ll be able to tell it apart from the front by the refreshed grille design and the new inverted ‘T’-shaped LED light signature, while round the back there’s a new set of vertical pixel LED lights, plus a shark fin antenna and fresh alloy wheel designs.
It gets more sparkle thanks to increased use of fully recyclable plastic cladding called, er, Starkle, and a new Sandstone metallic body colour.
Step inside and there’s fresh dashboard detailing, redesigned airvents that mirror the car’s exterior ‘T’-shaped light signature, upholstery that’s better resistant to any grubby hands, and Dacia’s clever YouClip accessories attachment system. On the tech front there’s now a bigger 10in central touchscreen and wireless phone charger.
There’s more. The updated Jogger is now also available with Dacia’s most powerful 155 hybrid setup, combining a 1.8-litre petrol engine, two electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery.
Total output is 153bhp and 125lb ft of torque, and Dacia claims improved fuel consumption and 10 per cent reduced CO2 emissions. Which all sounds most excellent indeed. It’ll be available alongside the existing 110 petrol engine.
As mentioned, prices start from £18,995 for the petrol, and £23,330 for the hybrid, which forces you to step up a trim level. Like it?
