Wait, what? Mansory has stuck a carbon wing on this 1,800bhp Pirelli speedboat
There’s actually too much going on here for our tiny brains to compute. Pirelli boats? And Mansory is involved? We need a lie down
Well, you learn something new every day. For example, did you know Pirelli currently makes speedboats in partnership with manufacturer Sacs Tecnorib? And did you know Mansory recently got its hands on the flagship ‘Pirelli 50’? Now you do, and your eyes can’t unsee the end result.
Pirelli has actually been in the boat game since it started making inflatable dinghies back in the 1950s, but the 15.2m 50 couldn’t be further from those roots. Not least because it deploys three 600bhp Mercury outboard motors for a 1,800bhp total. Yeesh.
Even Mansory decided that was probably enough power, so unlike its work with the world’s fastest supercars, it hasn’t actually fiddled with anything mechanical. Instead, the changes are cosmetic, where you'll find the usual lashings of carbon fibre on just about every surface. No seriously – it’s even shouting about the carbon fibre cupholders and the folding carbon table between the rear seats.
There’s lots of turquoise leather trim (and of course more carbon) in the cockpit, and all of the seats have been retrimmed in a similarly bright colour. The new cushions apparently represent Mansory’s ‘sporty image’. Ah yes, sporty cushions.
The 50 can transport up to 14 people and Mansory is hoping at least one of them might be wooed by a starlight headliner. The tuner has added new Hella roof lights too, plus a jet fighter-style engine start button cover and custom carbon speaker covers.
Oh, and there’s the obligatory spoiler mounted up on the roof, because how are we meant to know Mansory was involved if there isn’t a whacking great rear spoiler somewhere?
