Photo of the day: it’s a Back to the Future Nissan GT-R!

If you’ve been living on the island of Pitcairn and your mobile phone’s broken, you may not have noticed, but today marks Back to the Future day – the day in BTTF II that Marty and Doc Brown travel to, in the future.

Of course, it’s not in the future anymore because we’re on that day. So it’s the present, or the past, or whatever. Either way, Nissan has mocked up a Delorean-esque, time-travelling GT-R. It’s not real. It’s not even especially realistic. We still rather like it.

Even with the slight increase in weight and drag caused by the flux capacitor gubbins, we suspect this particular time machine would not struggle to hit 88mph. Or even 188mph. Well played, Nissan.
