Renault Clio news - Bio-fuel Clio leads the charge - 2006

Published: 22 Mar 2006

Renault is doing its bit to save the rainforest with the introduction of the Clio Hi-Flex bio-fuel model.

The Hi-Flex Clio is based on the previous shape Clio II and will only be sold in Brazil. The 1.0- and 1.6-litre engines can run on any mix of standard petrol or ethanol.

In Brazil, prices for the Hi-Flex Clio start at around £7,165.

Renault states that half of all the cars it builds will be bio-fuel models by 2009 and the Hi-Flex is a major step towards that.
