Kenny Pfitzer Designs is hoping to steal the show at SEMA with two custom-built widebody VW vans, designed in collaboration with two Southern Californian clothing brands, FB County and The Original Cascade.
The pair of eye-catching buses started out as a 1963 Single Cab (in yellow) and a 1961 15-Window Deluxe (in brown) respectively, before being completely stripped down and 3D scanned.
Next step was to design the composite body panels using CAD software – including the front and rear bumpers, wheelarches, splitter, sills, spoiler and more – to give them their own, ahem, unique style.
The buses also got all new air suspension kits, brakes, lighting, electrical components and more, with the press release making special mention of the Monoblock wheels, high-performance tyres, and a stainless-steel exhaust.
Naturally, the interiors also received a full makeover, built from scratch – no stone left unturned etc – with new instrument clusters, pedals, switches, and upholstery, with the pictures suggesting you even get a matching shirt thrown in too.
The company also notes that it “has the capability to duplicate all composite body parts used in this build”, and early next will begin taking orders for custom widebody builds, be it your own bus or sourcing one if required.
