And delivery is planned “in the coming weeks”. The bonkers V12 hypercar seems to be ready…

Big news in the world of kinda-F1-inspired hypercars – Aston Martin has announced that the first customer Valkyrie has been completed and that deliveries will start “in the coming weeks”. Hurrah!

Now, we’re yet to get a go in Aston’s mega £2.5m, 1,139bhp Adrian Newey-mobile, but we did experience it from the passenger seat at Goodwood. Watch the full video by clicking these blue words.

It clearly hasn’t been easy for Aston to get the Valkyrie to this stage. Boss Tobias Moers said: “It is an immensely proud moment for us to complete our first ever hypercar. The Aston Martin Valkyrie programme has tested everyone who has worked on it to the limit but the commitment to the dream has produced a truly incredible car.”

To the limit. Blimey.

The hard-top coupe version of the Valkyrie is now in full production then, with each one being hand-built and taking over 2,000 hours to put together. Got an order in for one? Feeling ever more excited?
