The Stig presents Fight Club in the new Top Gear magazine

Porsche GT3 RS vs Aventador SV vs McLaren 675LT heads up seven huge bouts

Read more on:

In the new February issue of Top Gear magazine, The Stig brings together 18 contenders for the ultimate, dog eat dog fight club.

Topping the bill are the performance cage fighters, with the brilliant Porsche 911 GT3 RS, savage Lamborghini Aventador SV and sublime McLaren 675LT clashing heads.

That’s Closely followed by a tussle at the TG track between the BMW i8, Jaguar F-Type Coupe and Porsche 911 Carrera. Stuttgart’s finest has never had it tougher.
The February issue of Top Gear is on sale now in all supermarkets and newsagents, or you can download the digital app edition on your smartphone or tablet
We’ve also headed across the pond for an American muscle showdown, with the Corvette Stingray Z06, Ford Mustang GT350R and Dodge Viper ACR fighting it out on two racetracks over 24 hours. Back on home turf, our heavyweight contest sees the Jaguar XF take on the BMW 5-Series in the executive-class arena.
For the battle of the hypercars, the founders of Pagani and Koenigsegg enter into a war of words as we hit them with a round of probing questions. We also speak to Daniel Ricciardo about his F1 grudge match with Sebastian Vettel.
In our retro battles, the new Aston Martin four-door Lagonda Taraf takes on its wedgy ancestor from the Eighties. The Abarth 695 BiPosto, meanwhile, meets some Italian rally legends in the form of the Fiat 131 Abarth, 124 Spider, Lancia Beta Coupe and ex-Sandro Munari Lancia Stratos.
The final bout on The Stig’s fight card sees three of the UK’s most popular hatches – the Vauxhall Astra, VW Golf and Ford Focus – slog it out on an all-night fuel-economy test. Who will be the last man standing?
In this month’s news, we take a first look at the McLaren 675 Spider, Volvo S90 and Citroen’s bonkers e-Mehari electric ‘car’.

Plus, we’ve driven all the new cars that matter, including the new rear-drive Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2, as well as the Mini Clubman Cooper D, Seat Ibiza Cupra, Porsche Macan GTS and the utterly mad, 750bhp Audi RS6 Litchfield, while the Renault Kadjar takes on the Honda HR-V in our family car twin test.
