Lotus is currently chasing financial stability in the guise of two-tonne EVs, but along has come a ‘remastered’ Esprit supercar to remind us why we loved the British company and its lightweight cars in the first place.
Built by a new start-up called Encor, it mixes early Series 1 style with later V8 power, a carbon fibre body and modern-day tech. Take. Our. Money!
Although, on the subject of cash, one of these Encors will cost you £430,000. And that's before you've bought the donor car and paid the taxes. Ouch. Is it worth it? Watch the video above and then have your say in the comments below...
