This purple Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne is… striking
Money can’t buy taste, but it can buy… this. Meet Michael Fux’s latest bespoke creation
You remember Michael Fux, right? The entrepreneur with a flair for designs that are, er, ‘out there’. Yup, the same chap who commissioned this green McLaren Senna. And this orange Cullinan. And this purple 720S.
Well it won’t surprise you to learn that Mr Fux still gives zero, having put his name down for a highly extravagant Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne back in the summer of 2020. And now it’s here.
Revealed at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, Fux becomes the first owner of 19 examples of the 1,085bhp fully electric hyper-monster, naturally having made several unique modifications to make his car stand out.
Finished in Ocean Song Rose (purple to you and I), this version of the Carmen gets a high-gloss contrast black grille, polished aluminium alloys, and ‘Birkigt White’ detailing that extends to the leather seats inside.
“We are very proud to deliver this unique version of the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne to our first client in the United States,” said Miguel Suqué Mateu, Hispano Suiza´s chairman, “and doing so on the occasion of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance allows us to show the world, and especially the American market, what Hispano Suiza can achieve.”
Meanwhile, company CEO Sergio Martinez Campos added: “I would like to thank the whole Hispano Suiza Team and especially our Design team who have done an excellent job to enable Mr Fux to drive the car of his dreams.”
Hispano Suiza says it aims ‘to produce vehicles for car enthusiasts that, to date, were only possible in their imagination’. So go on then: money no object, what would you do differently?
