The future of Cadillac? This electric crossover has a bespoke polo set in its boot

Elevated Velocity concept is a “high-performance crossover” with 24in wheels and gullwing doors

Published: 19 Aug 2025

This time last year, Cadillac unveiled an all-electric 2+2 coupe with butterfly doors known as the Opulent Velocity concept. And now it has released a similar looking, all-electric 2+2 crossover with gullwing doors. This new creation is known, perhaps not very creatively, as the Elevated Velocity concept.

So, what do you need to know about it? Well, we’ll start with the important bits. There’s a bespoke polo set in the boot, because this whole thing has apparently been designed with ‘desert polo pursuits’ in mind. Yep, you’ve lost us already Caddy.

There’s no powertrain specifics provided, but we do know the Elevated Velocity sits on massive 24in wheels and gets air suspension. We also know that it features something called ‘Sand Vision’ which is similar to Cadillac’s existing night vision tech but allows the driver to see in a sandstorm. And there’s something called ‘Elements Defy’ mode which uses a dust-phobic vibration to keep the exterior of the car clean from dust, sand and dirt. Now that does sound useful.

And while the exterior is finished in a ‘Vapor Blue’ colour “inspired by glacial ice”, the interior is full of red leather and fabric in a number of different shades.

Of course, this is a concept car, so it also features a retractable steering wheel and an autonomous driving mode. Cadillac does say that it “could serve as inspiration for potential future Cadillac production vehicles” though.

Does the future of Cadillac involve bespoke polo sets?
