Alpine is readying a range-topping, track-focused A110 R
New “extreme” sportscar inspired by motor racing to be unveiled very, very soon
This just in: Alpine is readying a new version of its supernaturally excellent A110 sportscar that promises yet more excellence. On 4 October, Alpine will unveil the A110 R.
Using Sherlock levels of detective skills, TopGear.com has learned the new A110 R will likely feature an aero kit comprised of a new front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. Together with a new performance-optimised bonnet and roof, the track-focused – yet road-legal – A110 R will also get a dandy new pair of sports seats.
Moreover, there’ll be a new set of lightweight alloy wheels and some fancy suspension too. Oh, and a delightful little rear wing. Best not to ask how we learned all this information about the new A110 R.
“It is the highly anticipated version that will complete the A110 range,” explains Alpine. “An extreme version. Lighter. Sharper. And even more inspired by motor racing. In a word, more ‘radical’ to top the A110 range.
“The ultimate expression of lightness and performance, the new Alpine A110 R is designed for unique feelings on the racetrack while remaining road-legal.”
‘Unique feelings’. Prepare thine emotions for 4 October…
