Gallery: look at all these black cars
Apparently, it's some sort of discount day today. The name escapes us
Lamborghini Terzo Millennio
‘Terzo Millennio’ means third millennium. Few years off, then…

Japan’s answer to the Merc S-Class. Cruelly denied to the rest of the world, owners include Japan’s imperial family, the prime minister… and the Yakuza.
£300 BMW 735i
Team Web’s entry in the TG300, a special endurance race held to celebrate the 300th issue of TG Magazine. Very much on its last legs, the mighty 7 finished 2nd. Then it was squashed. Tears were shed.

Fine, this one isn’t actually black. It’s a Black Series – the name given to only the most serious AMGs. There’s not been one for a while, but we’re reliably informed an AMG GT Black Series is indeed happening in the not-too distant future. How it’ll build on the already insane AMG GT R Pro is anyone’s guess.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+
The first hypercar to break the 300mph barrier. The special Chiron – of which 30 will be made for £4.2million each – is 25cm longer and has longer gear ratios than standard. Here the black comes courtesy of bare carbon-fibre bodywork.
Trans Am Bandit Edition
Yup – it’s a Chevy Camaro SS modified to look like an old Pontiac Trans Am. Yee and indeed haw.
Ariel Atom 3.5R & BAC Mono
Not much bodywork at all here. But what little there is looks very good in black.

Black isn’t really the MX-5’s colour. No matter – looks excellent regardless.
Nissan GT-R NISMO
Quite how we got the very un-slidey NISMO quite so sideways is beyond us.

The GT40 that (controversially) won Le Mans in ’66 was indeed black. Look at it. Isn’t it lovely.
Lamborghini Centenario
Created to celebrate what would have been the company founder’s 100th birthday. Big V12, 760bhp and £1.7million.
Audi R8 RWS
The short-lived rear-drive version of the R8 is now a permanent part of the Audi line-up. Rejoice.
DC Avanti
India isn’t known for its supercars in quite the same way as, say, Italy. If the DC Avanti is anything to go by, that won’t change anytime soon.
Lamborghini LM002
People forget the Urus wasn’t Lambo’s first SUV. Back in the Eighties it made this. Complete with the V12 engine from the Countach, the LM002 was/is astonishing and ridiculous in equal measure.
Bugatti Divo
Track-ready Bug that’s some eight seconds faster around Nardo’s handling circuit than a standard Chiron. They’re building 40 for €5million a pop.
