Gaming: EA WRC's car list features some absolute classics

From the makers of Dirt Rally 2, the latest licensed rally game has 78 vehicles from rallies past and present

Published: 08 Nov 2023

EA WRC is out, and that means gravel is back on the menu, boys. The reception’s been warmer than the radiators of an Impreza STI, with the licensed rally sim sitting on a Metascore of 83.

It drives like a dream - although admittedly the kind of dream you’d be violently shaken awake from - but one of the best things about it is how well it models the differences between cars of different eras.

Yes, the infamous Group B monsters are here in force, including mud-flecked icons like the Audi Sport quattro S1 and Lancia Delta S4.

Group A’s also well represented by the likes of the Ford Escort RS Cosworth and its contemporaries, all of which threaten to tear your arms off with their sheer raucous energy.

In total, it’s a collection of 78 cars in 18 different classes that covers the full history of the sport, from the days of the Escort Mk2 to the present WRC crop. Bliss.

Here’s the full list of available vehicles, via the game’s official site.
