Is the new Novitec ‘Spofec’ Rolls-Royce Spectre Bruce Wayne’s ideal cruiser?
Blacked-out Roller gains more muscle and lowered suspension, though its 577bhp all-electric powertrain will remain untouched
This is a tauter, leaner Rolls-Royce Spectre built, we can only assume, for billionaire industrialists with a penchant for after-hours vigilantism. It’s been designed by Novitec in tandem with Spofec, which clearly has plenty of unused black paint canisters lingering around its offices.
As a result, this two-door Roller is black. Very black. You can choose between two 24in alloy wheel options: a dual nine-spoke set or a closed-disc design. There’s also a new suite of splitters all around and a revised set of rocker panels, which are said to result in improved airflow. We’re not sure if aero trickery is a dealbreaker for aforementioned billionaire industrialists, but oh well.
Anyway, as is customary with these Novitec projects, the Spectre has been dropped by 35mm thanks to a new suspension kit, so the 59-something-tonne luxo-barge now has no wheel well gap remaining. Looks properly menacing as a result.
That’ll be the only performance-related upgrade as per the release, so don’t expect any changes to the original dual-motor, 577bhp electric powertrain whose four-wheel drive system tangles with 664lb ft. The 4.4s 0-62mph time should also remain put, as should the estimated 290-odd-mile range, courtesy of the huge 102kWh battery pack.
Pricing for the Spofec kit is yet to be disclosed, but do consider that you’ll need at least £330,000 to nab yourself a base model to begin with. That shouldn’t be an issue if you're a - that's right! - billionaire industrialist with a penchant for after-hours vigilantism.
