Grab a coffee, nestle into your comfiest chair and simply hit play on the video below, for you are about to witness the finest three minutes of racing that’s likely to grace this calendar year.

The scene is Brands Hatch, the protagonists Kyle Ride and Tommy Bridewell. At stake is the British Superbike Championship, with the latter leading the former by just four points heading into the 32nd and final round of 2024.

It’s 35 points for a win and 30 for second place, ergo… the winner takes the lot.

With two laps to go, the runaway title contenders - riding for OMG GRILLA Yamaha Racing and Honda Racing UK respectively - are clear of the field and utterly inseparable.

Lead changes, wheel-to-wheel action, contact, sliding around on tyres that are done, massive levels of respect… this has the lot.
