Buying
What should I be paying?
The entry-level GT53 starts at £103,205 in the UK – we haven’t driven that one yet. The GT55 rises to £120,095, and it’s £159,870 for the full fat GT63. Based on the two we’ve tried, we’re inclined to say the 55 is more than enough for most people. It gets the same power but slightly less torque – still enough to cover 0-60 in 3.1 seconds.
As standard, all versions get adaptive cruise control, 360 degree parking cameras and Nappa leather seats. Crucially, even the base car gets rear wheel steer as standard and fake engine rumble (although you make do with six-pot sounds in the 53). You’ll have to cough up for the Advanced Plus Package if you want the outstanding Burmester stereo and heated seats. No, heated seats are not standard. The cheek of it.
Naturally, you also pay extra for the trick active suspension. Again, we’ve yet to drive a car specced without it, but given the extent to which the superb ride coloured our experience of the car, we’d say it’s a box worth ticking.
