The seven best one-off, bespoke Rolls-Royces of 2024
Another year, another collection of stunning commissions. And yes, the Goldfinger one's in there
Phantom Scintilla
A stunning one-off ode to Eleanor, the 'Spirit of Ecstasy' figurine adorning every single Rolls. The one-off Phantom Scintilla's SoE is finished in a gorgeous ceramic coat, while inside, a total of 869,500 stitches are applied between the doors and rear fabric seats to create one continuous graphic "inspired by her expressive form". Stunning, just as you’d expect from a car limited to 10 copies.

Does the fascia design on this Rolls-Royce Ghost look familiar to you? Correct, it’s an aerial view of London (the Thames has never looked so clean). The illuminated pattern is made up of 8,372 laser-etched lights and is meant to replicate the view from an aeroplane circling above. Squint hard enough, and you might even see the TG office.
Cullinan Series II Inspired by Rose
No, not the Titanic character. The Cullinan Series II ‘Rose’ is inspired by the Phantom Rose flower, which is only found in one location in the whole world: the courtyard of Rolls-Royce’s headquarters at Goodwood. The main link is the rose motif embroidered on the headrests and coachline.

Here’s one inspired by a movie. That movie. This Phantom replicates the exact spec of Auric Goldfinger’s Phantom II from the film, including the two-tone paint and a Spirit of Ecstasy that appears to be hiding gold underneath - a subtle nod to the movie. The front fascia even dons a 3D map of the Furka Pass, where Bond chases Goldfinger’s Rolls in his DB5. One of the coolest one-offs of 2024.
Spectre Lunaflare
Another one-off that’s almost as cool is the Spectre Lunaflare. It took over a year to make, primarily due to the various pearlescent paint layers applied to mimic the effect of a natural cosmic phenomenon known as a ‘lunar halo’. The starlight roof has also been complemented by door cards with extra starlight clusters. Who needs a natural phenomenon when this exists?
Ghost Extended Series II The Encounter
Sounds like the title of a cult Seventies espionage film, actually refers to the 120th anniversary since the marque’s founders, Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce, met. So those numbers etched along the exterior aren’t just gibberish. Inside, the Ghost has leather seats made of a new type of bamboo fabric called Duality Twill. The funky upholstery design is a unique spin on the interlinked ‘R’ initials of the founders’ surnames. Would make a good star in a modern espionage film.
Phantom Year of the Dragon
Built for the Shanghai Private Office to commemorate the beginning of the Chinese Lunar New Year, this Phantom gains a series of red dragon logos in places like the headrests and coachline. Oh, and a starlight headliner which depicts a dragon for the first time too, crafted from 677 individual lights. Glorious.
