Sports car reviews

New found dynamism and modern interior help make this the most accomplished Aston Martin we’ve driven in years

Simply one of the greatest M cars, jerky gearchanges an' all

This is a car that reaches the parts no other can. A symphony of engineering purity, weight-saving purges and mechanical artistry. It will almost certainly never be bettered

A bunch of great updates make the Ford Mustang a sharper sports car while still staying true to its muscle car roots

The last ever petrol-powered Lotus looks fantastic and drives with precision, but not quite as much emotion as we might’ve hoped

The most involving, joyous 992. It just makes you want to drive. What more can a sports car do?

It might be a more 'accessible' Ferrari, but don't be fooled - something of an assassin still lurks within

Some character's gone AWOL, but it's still astoundingly good to drive yet amazingly easy to live with

The Maserati MC20 Cielo is a car with lots of talents and dimensions: it's quick, engaging and friendly

Top notch Japanese muscle car with a whole lot of heart. Not dynamically perfect, but in 2023 its charm continues to grow

New mid-engined Corvette C8 is a revolution, not evolution

It’s more apparent than ever that the 911 GT3 is part of a famous motorsport bloodline. Another phenomenal car

The most single-minded hypercar ever to turn a wheel. Vast complication and compromise hand-in-hand with divine beauty and outlandish speed

Slightly sharper looks, slightly sharper chassis... but otherwise refreshingly old-school. The F-Type doesn't cause any upsets. Phew

As practical as a pair of lead water wings, but one of the most entertaining cars ever built

The Countach is back. It’s mostly a reclothed Sian, but in all important ways it’s a Lamborghini through and through

Toyota’s only going to sell the GR86 for a couple of years and it’s pretty much sold out. Pity: it’s absolutely marvellous

Overkill in a pure form, but obviously the madness here is to be celebrated

Does the world really need a GT4 RS? Yes, yes it does. You can tell Porsche wants to build these cars while it still can

An oddball but undeniably interesting bit of badge-swapping history. And doesn't it look great still?

It drives like a McLaren should, but a genuine GT car ought to be more practical
