Hybrid/EV car reviews

One of the most complete electric cars money can buy. Decent build quality, handsomely styled and easy to drive

Arguably the biggest step forward for EVs since the Prius, Tesla shows cylinders may have had their day

A crossover with a point: a practical, fun place to be and quite a spirited drive

Vauxhall took few risks when electrifying the Corsa, and while the facelift has improved the looks, we wish it’d been braver inside

The MX-30 is an interesting if muddled car, and one not quite as deft to drive as its name suggests

The Solterra plays to Subaru's strengths, and while it's not the best all-round EV out there, it's more engaging than you might expect

Remains one of the best all-round, reasonably priced EVs you can buy today

A surprisingly rounded EV. Fun to drive, uncompromised inside, and still every bit a Mini

Not the EV we’d recommend, but if you like the way it looks and battery-power suits your lifestyle then by all means

Not cheap, and not a conventional SUV, but a thoroughly capable family wagon

The BMW i3 is the best small premium EV out there. Or it will be until production ends for good

It looks familiar, goes like a muscle car and it’s full of brilliant practical touches

It's quite hard to convince ourselves this HEV really exists. But vehicles this fun don't come along very often

Proof that electric planes really will happen. A beautifully serene way to travel

Renault mends the bits that needed mending and leaves the bits that didn’t. A big step forwards

If sheer refinement is what matters to you in a luxury car, this is the new champion. The EQS fuses Merc’s old school lux with new-age propulsion
